Looks like a 216? Or w/ retro cover on a 235?
21 miles per gallon! Whoa. You might stir-up some controversy here. I saw that "how many miles do you get?" discussion go on for a long time. Miles were all over the board; er...road.
***Please give me the spacifics of all that you have done to your engine.
I'm in the middle of a rebuild of my 62' 235 w/hydrolic lifters. (Keeping those lifters; excellent shape requiring only a mild regrind and they are original GM!)The machine shop has an original grinding machine from the 50's.
*Block at shop getting over- bored from stock .030. Pistons from Patrick's. Cast rings.
*Electronic igition from Pertronics using my old distributor.
*Still working on getting a cam. Langdon would not sell me one (Bulldog for Hydrolics) unless I had my lifters reground by his guy. So i'll be calling Delta Cam (where he gets the Bulldog). By the way, if push comes to shove, my stock cam is in beautiful shape.
*Rear end is now 3.55:1 from Patrick's.
*Manifolds will be Offenhauser/Fenton.
*Langdon wanted to railroad me into the Carter/Webers with the electric choke. (New generation, 1983, technology and brand new.) But I don't like the look. That's why I was thinking of getting another Rochester and oil bath air filter. Hey but your set-up looks fantastic! Really like the dual glass gas filters as well.
