I didnt take any pics but on my 52 the runnin boards bolt directly to the 3 brackets attached to the frame and then 3 bolts through the lower section of the rear fender with a gasket between.
the only thing I did was start all the nuts on the frame brackets then slipped in the gasket on the rear fender and alighned the runnin board for a nice fit and snugged up those 3 fender bolts then proceeded tighten up the rest..it went pretty smooth.
As far as any additional brackets????..mine did not have any and still does not.
