This may be a stupid question, but I have not been able to locate my oil filter on my truck. Can anyone tell me where it might be?
I am relatively new to these trucks. I purchased this "Big Bolt" about 1 1/2 years ago. It is a 1948 2-ton stake bed truck. I have been making progress on it, but very slowly. It was originally part of a pair of trucks that hauled a ferris wheel around western Pennsylvania. This truck has been sitting in a garage since 1979 so it needs lots of TLC, but it is close to being drivable finally.
I used to have a 1950 Pontiac, so I was looking for the same type of oil filter canister on the side of the engine, but there isn't anything there. I have looked through both the owners manual and shop manual and haven't found anything regarding an oil filter! Is there even one on this truck?
