pretty much any inline 6 from 55 up is a great engine my first truck was a 59 chevy with a 235 and of course in high school everyone had V-8s well knowing my dad would help me get a new engine i did my best to try to destroy it, drag racing, speeding, even at one point running it without oil and another running it without water but no matter what i could not destroy that engin so yeah your 250 will do just fine
