on my 53 gmc 1/2 ton with a 4speed, torque tube setup, how do i remove/check the u-joint? i took off the 4 bolts holding a collar on the ball cover, and even unscrewed the metal collar on the drive shaft, but couldn't see the u-joint. do i have to unhook the springs and move the differential back or do i have to remove the other 8 bolts at the transmission holding the bell housing on or both? i got a 40+ mph high pitched vibration that i believe might be my U-J but don't know how to check it. thanks for help in advance.
