I have a 62 series 10, fleetside, short bed with a 235 and three speed trans. I want to change to a big 6, 302 or 292, but need some help. From what I have found, I can use my 235 bell housing on a 302. or a v-8 bell housing on the 292. Either bell housing would have to be a 60-63 because of the hydraulic clutch. I have a trhee-speed OD trans, unknown source, but the case casting number is 3845122. The best info I have is that this is a 55-57 trans and I would like to use it. I do need info on flywheel and clutch combinations that would work.
