i don't know much about automatics but a flywheel will interchange on a 250, 292 and some v8's. i have seen a larger size and smaller but where it bolts to crank flange is the same. they changed the mounting bolts in the early 70's from 1/2 to 7/16. i think you can get bushings if you have 1/2 flywheel and 7/16 bolts or get flywheel drilled if its the other way. i don't know why a v8 one wouldn't work.
