| | | | Joined: May 2002 Posts: 155 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: May 2002 Posts: 155 | Heat the ring gear with yer torch with a rosebud tip and you can pop it off same to replace it...have never used an oven and don't know of anyone else who has either in the last 40 yrs...
As for the starter, put it in a vice and power it up to check the motor, and while it's apart for a new bendix change the brushes if they're short...
