I had the same symptom on my 1965 305E's Bendix Stromberg WW...it would "carb fart" upon accelerating or 'punching' the throttle. This usually indicates a lean conditon caused by the accelerator pump not providing the extra squirt of gas as the butterfly opens rapidly. NAPA should have a rebuild kit for you....mine was $17. Good luck and have fun with it. You'll get a lot of satisfaction out of doing it yourself and it requires no special tools. Scott  | | |
