With the truck jacked up did you try rocking the wheel back and forth by pushing in on the top of the tire and pulling out on the bottom. The wheel should not rock. You say the kingpin looks new, but how are the bushings. It does not take a lot of wear in the bushings to cause a problem.
Also how are the wheel bearings?
