Does anyone have or can point me to a photo of the stock '55-'59 235 throttle linkage and return spring? My freshly rebuilt '55 235 is almost ready to install in my 1940 GMC, but I'm having difficulty figuring out how to hook up the spring. I'm using the forward most bellcrank pivot hole, the one directly behind the exhaust manifold outlet. I've cut and re-welded the bellcrank so it will work with the stock '40 accelerator rod. I've read in the archives that the spring goes from a clip on the vertical linkage rod to the lip of the oil pan. But it seems that if I run the spring straight down to the pan lip, it will interfere with the exhaust pipe.
A photo would be a big help.
Thanks,
Steve
