I cannot confirm one way or the other that this LT1 / 4L60E tranny combo I've purchased was a wise decision in any case. I do know the previous owner and understand the modifications done to the wiring harness to simplify it. I wanted "driveability" not major horsepower or old school inefficiencies. I know....there are plenty of options out there, 283, 327, 350 etc. I got a good buy, I knew its history, I like the statistics and it fit well. If this ends up a bad choice, I will mark it up with all the others I've made over the years including buying this "rust bucket" to begin with. HA It's always good to read the feedback, but generally, the pendulum swings pretty hard between old school and newer technology.
Thanks again fellas.....I will keep you posted on how this project progresses and I certainly will "complain" openly if this LT1 comes back to bite me!
