If you want to keep the Chevy six rap-rap sound, don't use a crossover. The closer the mufflers are to the rear the less cab noise you have, and they usually stay cooler and will last longer. I like the sound of Dynomax Super Turbos, not as loud as the flowmasters, but louder than stock. If you want quiet, you need to go with a stock Walker muffler. A good exhaust man will be able to answer a lot of the questions you have.
