Cleaned the fuel pump bowl out and truck would fire and idle but would not let me drive at any speed without dying. Pulled the carb, cleaned and put a rebuild kit from LMC in. I must of did something wrong cause now it will only fire with a squirt of starter fluid and than die. Yes, the fuel pump seems to be pumping. Before I pull the carb and start to backtrack, got any sugestions? Truck is an unrestored '47 with original 216, saved from a South Dakota farm last summer. Thank for the help. Bob | | |
