Thanks to all who responded. I went with DOT 3, and the old two-person bleed and I now have brakes that actually work. No more phoning ahead to put out the hay bales. Life is good. Now all I have to do is finish the rebuild on the old 216, stuff it back in there, and we'll be good to go.
