OldSub Cruising in the Passing Lane O Joined: Oct 2003 Posts: 5,152 Seattle, Washington	My '72 with a 350 and an automatic with 3.5-something gears gets about one mile per gallon better than my '55 1st with a GMC 270, SM420 and 3.08 gears. My other V-8 powered truck averages about half what the '72 gets, but it has a 454 and 4.11 gears. 1955 1st GMC Suburban \| 1954 GMC 250 trailer puller project \| 1954 GMC 250 Hydra-Matic \| 1954 Chevy 3100 . 1947 Chevy COE \| and more... It's true. I really don't do anything but browse the Internet looking for trouble...
