The housing stamped #4149 is for '55-57 ALL 6cyl.(2nd ser)original pn 5593247.
But that long arm still doesn't look right. As far as I know they didn't move the cam to the other side of the block on the six cylinder engines in '55.
Rebuilt Delco starters and generators often have the wrong tags on their housings leading you to believe you have the wrong part. The housings are the same for many applications, just the end frames being different. My guess would be that, the same AC fuel pump housings would fit many different makes and models and the only thing different is the arm. The rebuilder probably swapped arms and boxed it up for '37 Bastich or something that they needed at the time and didn't bother with the stamped number. The auto parts just assumed by the number that it was for the tri-five Chevy 6’s.
