I'm putting a 292 and 4 SPD in a 47AD. I planned on getting Chevy Duty's crossmember and Langdon's motor mounts. I saw a thread on Chevy Duty which indicated a crossmember isn't necessary, even with a non torque-tube rear end? Is this possible? It sure would save me some trouble and a little bit of money, even though it doesn't make a lick of sense.
