Jerry,
you are looking at aluminum slugs i made.I had my welder weld them up solid.I set the intake up for water heat,if i decide to ever go that route.The picture is before i had them welded in place.

Ed, my intake did have some jagged edges from casting.I used a small file to clean them up.
