The Stovebolt Site Forums The Shop Area Driveline Silicone Brake Fluid DOT type 5

I am using DOT 5 fluid with all parts totally new on my 54 Suburban (standard brakes) and have had no problems in 4+ years.

However, I probably will not do this again with my other trucks; I'll simply thoroughly bleed my brakes once a year and use regular brake fluid.
