I don't think there's a difference. What helped mine fit, was to place the glass in the gasket while it was on the bench, and let it sit in there for some time. My gasket was not from steele, and was a bastard to get in. It takes time, patience, and heat. But I think that's true of installing any windshield. A spray bottle filled with water and some sunlight dish soap helps, so does cranking up the shop heat. Mostly though, its patience, and strong fingers.
