Neil, ya gotta be reading something wrong, the only electrolytic caps in that radio would be in the PS filter. They would be rated in the 20mf to 40mf range and around 400v.

The buffer capacitor across the transformer secondary is not an electrolytic cap, that's the one with the high voltage rating and probably be something like this, .005mf or .006mf @ 1600v. That cap is critical to maintaining good vibrator health so always change that and stay as close as you can to the capacitance rating. These are available in the Orange Drops.

The Orange Drops are much more expensive than the yellow 650v polyester caps, which are very inexpensive and more than adequate to replace the “tubular” or paper cap.
