I have a 62 with the tank still behind the seat. A while back I replaced the fuel sending unit and gasket. Now it seeps fuel when the tank is full. Is there some sealant that I can use that is safe with gas. I thought that I had heard somewhere that silicone would not work with gas. Any suggestions would be helpful.
By the way, it had the same leak before I replaced the sending unit. The tank does not appear to be bent or tweaked in any way. I think its coming from around the screw holes, and yes they are tight.
