| | | Joined: Jan 2001 Posts: 5,337 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jan 2001 Posts: 5,337 | What looks like a gasket is a paper shim to align the gears. The shop manual gives instructions on checking this. Alignment also affects cam timing.
