Your answer still did not clarify things welk. If you are talking about the front crossmember for an IFS kit then its alignment to the frame is critical or the truck with drive sideways. Your IFS kit or crossmember should have come with instructions. If not then contact the supplier to obtain them.
If this is for your 66 I would have to ask why you are changing the cross member as you can just replace the spindles.
