A good come-along or a chain fall has worked for me. Obviously you'll need something sturdy and tall enough to hang it from.
For an AD (47-54) truck remove the pedals, shifter, starter button, steering wheel and the seal around the column on the floor. Also disconnect all the wires and stuff.
The truck will need to roll forward to clear the steering column on the way up.
If it's to heavy removing the doors makes it lighter.
And for what not to do, don't drop it or hurt yourself..
