| | | | Joined: Jul 2005 Posts: 2,031 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jul 2005 Posts: 2,031 | it's not used as a bolt hole because it is NOT accessed from the outside of the pocket, so you can not tighten it at all. i believe the hole is for a tool to bend the tab where you wish it as a steady guide for your post. the smaller 1/4'' hole at the bottom, running front to back is used to place a thru bolt to actually hold your post in place.
