For helping keep this great

on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 1,061 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 1,061 | I have one on my 46. Replaced the Rochester B. It was an instant improvement and has given me no trouble at all. The 966 S can be used on all 1950 and newer Chevy engines according to the sheet carbking posted here some time ago. This is a type 3 meaning it fits a 235 manifold. The type 2 is smaller and fits the 216.
The carter yf was a very versatile carb and was used on just about everything in one congiguration or another.
