Check your points. Gap should be .015 used, .019 new. The carb, Rochester one barrel, has some problems. The horn warps, causing the upper seal to leak, and the throttle body wears from the shaft, causing vacuum leaks. Both are fixable, but take more than throwing a kit in the carb.
