LSV, you have a 216 intake, if the 54 carb will not fit. This is better anyway for a mild engine upgrade.
BC52, there is no "stall" in a hydro. They do not have a torque converter like a modern auto. They have a fluid coupler, that allows little slippage. They are nearly one to one in the fluid connection.
