Another approach to the pin size difference would be to install a thicker bushing in the 292 rod and bring the wrist pin size in the rod down to 235 wrist pin diameter. It would be necessary to machine the pin bosses for Tru-Arc snap rings, because the clamp bolt in the stock 235 rod would be lost in the rod change, and the wrist pin would have to be shortened slightly. Doing the same stroke change to a 261, plus a healthy overbore, would be a better approach. There's no substitute for cubic inches, or cubic dollars!
