What rear do you have? A 1 ton should have a 5.?? Even changing the pumpkin for a (common) 4.57 should help some. Straight bolt-in replacement. Loosen the axle shafts at the hubs, pull them a couple of inches, and unbolt the carrier. After you pick the 200 lbs off your head, bolt in the new one. Good time to check the u-joints. If your tires are big enough, you don't even need to jack it up!
