I agree with fasteddie 1017 they are a nice engine but if you were looking for more power I would go with a 350cu. motor rebuilt to stock specs. with so many spare parts to choose from. There is one thing that I like to do to any engine that makes them last a little longer is to have the engine balanced during the rebuild. It will cost a little extra but the benifit is well worth it in my opinion. Good Luck on your decision making process as you will get a lot of different opinions and this one is just one of many you can think over along with the many GM crate motors and rebuilds avilable to buy across the country all ready to go in. your truck.
