Right on Coast Guard!! served 6 years as a puddle pirate 83 - 89. Had to much fun and adventures, rescues at sea, drug bust. Saw far more than I ever thought I would, from the Bearing Sea to Beautiful Micronesia. I loved it, sometimes wish I would of stayed in. Most people never think of the CG, but it is a great outfit and I am proud and grateful that I was lucky enough to have been in it. My Dad served in the Navy 7 years, he said try for a small ship their friendlier. That and a National Geographic issue about the CG ( small service with a big mission)made me pick the Coasties. My brother was in the Marines and he is proud of it. But as for me I think the Coast Guard is hard to beat!
