I did spend a lot there for just getting the block bored and cleaned, and getting the head cleaned and valves in. But I was there almost every day with questions. They even let me borrow a tool here and there. But I'll bet you'll learn more about your motor than you ever thought you would, and half way into it you'll start to think it's not as hard as it looks.
You also have this forum with a bunch of people happy to answer anything. I was in the same boat a month ago.
