I have a 283 with a 4 barrel Edelbrock carb. I needed to replace the choke cable, ordered a new one, cut it to the old cable length installed and now when I try to start the truck it won't fire up.

I pull the cable all the way out but she just turns and turns with no pop. I pull the air cleaner shoot a little starter juice in there and boom she fires right up.

Any idea and why the change in attitude when I try to start her up? The old choke cable, all I had to do was pull it out, pump the gas twice and boom she was up and running. Quite a different story from what I am experiencing now.

Any idea's or as Paul Sr. from OCC might say, "Any Ideer's" or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Chris
