| | | | Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 1,276 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 1,276 | Yes the NV4500 can be had with a parking brake and they have PTO ports on both sides you would most likely need to get a different PTO but you have more of a mounting choice.
Many industrial truck like UPS trucks came with NV4500s in them and this it what you will want to look for in order to have one with driveline brake. I have had some tell me that they are not up to handling the weight of a two ton truck but all the transmission guys I have talked to that say that all agree that they are much stronger than an SM420 so there you have it IMO it would be a very good choice and thought about it for my 56 before I got my Allison.
Search the web you will find a plethora of info you will have to weed though all the 4X4 stuff but you will find that the one you want will be the least expensive of them but you may need to look a wile for one. | | |
