I did this back in the 70's. It was pretty straight forward. You need to weld a tab on the reverse shift lever to lock the OD out when in reverse.

Once you have the OD on the 4-speed you'll have to make your own shifter rods. You can't just order the Saginaw shifter from Patricks as expect it to work out of the box.
