I have My new Windshield and the seal for it. I just painted My cab interior and the window posts and am ready to put the window in, I was told to put the seal on the windshield first then put the window into the truck. My question is: How do I hold the seal so it doesn't pop off of the glass when I am trying to put it {the seal} around the glass? Because the glass is curved on the ends the seal wants to pop out along the top and bottom of the glass. will an adheasive work? or maybe tape? any suggestions other then {have a professional do it} I am on a very tight budget and won't pay to have it dont before I try first. I know to use a rope and lube to install it. I have installed flat glass in tractor trailers before but never a curved window.
