The Borg Warner T-5 is the popular swap for that. They are cheap & plentiful & only require minor modifications. (see tech tips). They are not real stout though. If you are going to do some heavy hauling, pulling, burn outs , drag raceing, or speed shifting it would not be the trans. of choice. There are some stouter trans. in the full size trucks but they are more costly. There are some after market o-drives but they are very expensive. Also the optional o-drives from 55 to somewhere in the 60's in cars & trucks work good too, but are hard to find anymore.
