Replace with new wire and replaced with new ignition switch. I have checked all wires to make sure that there are no melted wires. You turn the truck on alternator works and runs fine but it will not turn the truck off when you turn the key. If you take the wire off the ignition swithch to the altenator it will shut off. Do you think the alternator is backing feeding through the wire? Is wire from ignition switch feeding the alternator?
I've never been lost just confused for a month or two. 1950 & 1952 chev. 1998 Chev 4x4.
