| | | | Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 121 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 121 | No you don't need to grind off the flanged portion. Just get some tubes of seam sealer and cover the joint ( both sides ) with it to keep moisture out.
