My experience with Power brakes, firewall mounted is that you do not need residual valves since the master cylinder is much higher than the wheel cylinders/ calipers. You only need residuals when your master cylinder is the same level or lower than the wheel cylinders/calipers. The brake fluid has a tendency to run backward into the mastercylinder when it is lower, Never happens when the cylinder is mounted higher.. Good luck.
