Helipackmech, could you elaborate on the implications of it not being a full flow filter engine? What does that mean? I just bought a new filter and I'm pretty sure it's a "full flow filter". Did I buy the wrong filter? My truck has a canister with a screw-on top, and the filter goes in this canister. I assumed if it fit in the canister, it was the right filter.
On that topic, the old filter from the previous owner was a smaller diameter than what I just bought. The old filter had about 1/2-inch space all the way around between it and the canister walls. The larger diameter one I just bought has less clearance between the sides of the filter and the sides of the canister. Common sense tells me there will be more restriction to oil flow with less space between the filter and the canister. Any thoughts on this? (The old filter was a 1010; the new one is a 1100, one from NAPA, one from O'Reilly, both made by Wix).
