No residual valve required on disk brakes when master is higher than cylinders? I was told that when the master is below the floor boards that a 2 lb residual back pressure valve should be used for the disk circuit and a 10 lb residual back pressure valve should be used for drums regardless of master cylinder location. Would the 2psi residual valve create excessive pad / disk wear? 2psi is equivalent to about 5 ft of water column . . . brake fluid is lighter than water so 2psi at the pad at rest would be more than 8 - 10 feet of master cylinder height over pads . . . eek :confused: , I'll stick with the 2 psi residual pressure valve. grin
