For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: May 2005 Posts: 82 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: May 2005 Posts: 82 | I did the power brake conversion on my '49 I uses an aftermarket braket under the floor- like Cpp - & a c10 booster & mastercylinder with the stock brake & clutch linkage. I was told it would never work but it works great. I'm still using the stock drums front & rear with a 10 # in the front brake line. The only problem was I can't use the stock trans cross member & I had to cut an access hole in the floor under the seat because the whole assembly sits further back that the stock master cylinder. The trans is an M21 with a centerforce clutch & it hooks good !!
