Hi there! I signed up about a week ago. I just picked up a '50 3100 that had sat for 20-30 years. Thankfully, it was in a field in S.Kansas so it isn't rusted out. I hauled it back here to St.Louis so I have to work hard to keep it that way. All it's parts look original. Too bad it's missing the speedo & radio. I spent the weekend (minus time spent swapping engines in my '66) cleaning & getting things ready to see if it will run. I needed some good tires for the rear. I tried the spares from a '90 Toyota 4x4 & they fit perfect with 225/75/15 tires.
If the 216 won't run, I have a 235 to drop in. I'm hoping for this truck to be my daily driver. I'll post again w/a link for a photo page.
