The parts supplier books show 3/8" and 5/8" for the 1954 235 and 261 engines. The online manual shows a 3/8" belt or a 11/16" which is enbetween 5/8" and 3/4" ? http://chevy.oldcarmanualproject.com/chevyresto/54151.htm The 1954 corvette 235 has the 5/8" belt and pulleys.The lower radiator hose is larger in diameter on the 1954 corvette 235(1 3/4 " vs 1 1/2" ).
