Yep, I could almost make out every second word!!! wink

I can't think of a reason not to remove the spring, hold it in a vise and "stretch" it to give it more tension. Barring that, new springs are pretty cheap, I'm guessing, from Jim Carter's or Chevs of the 40s.

If I take my brain with me next time I'm with my truck, I'll remember to take a picture for reference.
