what exactly is the problem you're having?
the pegs at the back [top of cowl near the end of the rubber strip there] push up the hood when it's closed to level it with the cowl - they're usually siezed and easy to break off, but being missing shouldn't cause a real problem
if the problem is that the back of the hood wants to stick up when the hoods closed, you have worn hinges, otherwise the hood fit is in the fit of the fenders, which can be shimmed up/down and out from the cowl
